This A2 English course is suitable for students who have already completed A1, or who have basic knowledge of English equivalent to A1 level.

The course is ideal for adults who want to use English more actively in everyday life, at work, while travelling or in simple social and practical situations.

At A2 level, you build on the basics. You learn to express yourself more independently, understand more of what you read and hear, and take part in simple conversations with greater confidence.

At A2 level, you will learn to communicate more independently about familiar topics and everyday situations.

By the end of the course, you will work towards being able to:

• take part in simple conversations about familiar topics
• talk about work, family, free time, travel, food and daily routines
• read and understand short, simple texts
• write simple messages, emails and short texts
• talk about experiences, plans and opinions using simple phrases
• express wishes, needs and feelings
• use more basic English grammar in practice
• improve your pronunciation, vocabulary and speaking confidence

The goal is to help you use English more naturally and confidently in practical situations.

The course combines speaking practice, listening exercises, reading, writing, pronunciation, grammar and practical language use.

The course is taught in small groups, usually with 3–6 students. This gives you more speaking time, closer follow-up from the teacher and a safer learning environment than in larger classes.

Your teacher will help you build on what you already know, so you gradually become more confident understanding, speaking and writing English.

If you want to use English more independently at work, in meetings, in emails or in more demanding situations, you can continue to the next level after A2.

We use face2face Elementary as the course material. The books can be purchased from us or from a Norwegian bookseller.

The book is used together with the teacher’s explanations, speaking activities, listening exercises, writing tasks and additional classroom activities.

Yes. You will receive a course certificate after completing the course, provided that you have at least 80% attendance.

The certificate documents the course level and the number of teaching hours completed. It can be useful documentation for employers, schools or others who need confirmation of completed English language training.
