This B1 English course is suitable for students who already know the basics of English and want to become more independent, confident and accurate when communicating.

The course is ideal for adults who want to use English more actively at work, in education, while travelling or in everyday situations where English is needed.

At B1 level, you move from basic communication towards expressing opinions, explaining experiences, talking about plans and taking part more actively in conversations in English.

At B1 level, you will learn to use English in a wider range of practical and social situations. You will build on A2 with more vocabulary, better grammar, longer sentences and more speaking practice.

By the end of the course, you will work towards being able to:

You will practise explaining work tasks, taking part in simple conversations, writing short texts and emails, expressing opinions and understanding practical information.

If you need more advanced business English, meetings, presentations or written communication at a higher level, you can continue to the next level after B1.

Your teacher will help you with pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, fluency and practical communication, so you can develop your English step by step.

We use face2face Pre-intermediate, textbook and workbook, as the course material. The books can be purchased from us or from a Norwegian bookseller.

The book is used together with the teacher’s explanations, speaking activities, listening exercises, writing tasks and additional classroom activities.

Yes. You will receive a course certificate after completing the course, provided that you have at least 80% attendance.

The certificate documents the course level and the number of teaching hours completed. It can be useful documentation for employers, schools or others who need confirmation of completed English language training.
